Dr. Veronica Iubei (Heidelberg University Hospital - Germany) Atmosphere and the Affective Epoché: Reflections from New Phenomenology to Psychopathology
Veronica Iubei is soon to complete her Ph.D in Philosophy at the University of Heidelberg, under the supervision of Prof. and dr. Thomas Fuchs, eminent psychiatrist and phenomenologist, Head of the psychotherapy and phenomenology section at Heidelberg Hospital. Her project is an original combination of phenomenology, new phenomenology and psychiatry: Iubei works on the concept of atmosphere, investigating embodiment, affectivity and the prodrome phases of certain psychiatric disorders.
She presented her work at numerous internationally renowned conferences, papers in the process of publication and her forthcoming monograph. She has a background in the humanities, with two degrees in philology and philosophy and a research master's degree from Radboud University in Nijmegen.
