Ohad Nave (Hebrew University, Israel),  Phenomenology of dissolution of self-boundaries in meditation - a neurophenomenological dialogue

Ohad Nave studies the lived experience of the sense of self within a neurophenomenological study examining the experience of dissolution of one's sense of boundaries during meditation. With an academic background in the field of philosophy of science and phenomenology, he is currently writing his Masters thesis in cognitive sciences in the Hebrew University, while also involved in various contemplative practices such as meditation, body movement and Hakomi psychotherapy.
Using micro-phenomenology interview technique, Ohad facilitates detailed descriptions of subjective experience of meditation for the purpose of capturing subtle and fundamental aspects of self-consciousness. Interested in creating new ways to include awareness of subjective experience within the scope of an open ended scientific, therapeutic and spiritual quest.
